Mountain Aire 4569 ??

Has anyone looked at the MA 4569?

We have been in Tampa this week, and looked at alot of coaches. and are looking up upgrade from our DS. There are lots of great floor plans, but some very small reasons which are driving us to the 4569.

We would love input from others that may have looked at this floor plan. There is a King Aire 4569 floor plan which is essentially the same floor plan. It is completely different from the DS 4369 or the LA 4569.

Thanks!

I like the bath over the engine for several reasons. I don’t like those inward fold-open doors they use on the half baths. I could get used to it, but it reduces the size of the door opening. But they use them in all the floor plans so it’s kind of a mute point .

The inward folding door is about the only way to get into the half bath without the door banging into something opposite it when the slides are in while traveling.

Yeah I get why they did that but I just don’t like it. I’d rather see them go to the effort of designing in a pocket door

I think it’s a neat idea, I like the mechanics of the hinge, but it takes up too much room in the doorway. A wider doorway would solve the problem but I still prefer pocket doors like on the New Aire.

I loved the 4569 London Aire they had there. Finally a RV with some kitchen space. Not sure why that area is always compromised. Saw RVs with a full back bath and a walk in closet but a tiny kitchen!
Did you enjoy the show?

If you are going to have a pocket door, you have to have room in the adjoining wall for the pocket. Such a space does not exist anywhere around the half bath on the 4569 floor plan.

It works on the NA because you have a larger bath positioned amidship.

We have the rear bath over the engine and have had a terrible time dealing with heat off the engine. This heat has melted some of our medications and is difficult to disperse after driving on a hot summer day.

One advantage is that all the clothes in the closet get “pressed” by the heat.

Personally, I will never have another floor plan that has the rear bath over the engine compartment.

We have ordered a MA 4569 as a result of what we saw at the show.

Good to know - thanks. I was thinking it would keep the heat (and noise) out of the bedroom, but I guess it can be an issue either way

Wow,we had an American Tradition that had this problem ,couldn't walk in bathroom floor barefoot after stopping and too forever to cool off
BUT ,Our 2017 MADP is nothing like this..nothing melts and bathroom is quite cool....Is the engine cover under title floor in place???...C

Most of the engine cover sits underneath the base cabinets for the bathroom sinks. Upon arriving at our destination we open all bath cabinets, put the roof vent on high, crank on the bedroom AC and open the engine compartment cover to expedite cooling.

Now you must understand that most of our travels are between FL and TX. In the summer it’s common for driving temps to be in the high 90s. So there’s a considerable heat load from the engine which rises, thus heating everything in the rear bath. Our previous Essex had a rear walk-in closet, then the bath, then the bedroom. So we never had the accumulation of heat in the bath like what we experience currently.

This is of course off topic as the discussion centered on the beautiful and large kitchen on the 4569. Ours is similar (4534 MA) and has an amazing amount of storage. One unexpected consequence to this kitchen was the loss of basement height under the kitchen slide. I use to store two folding chairs on top of the Basement Frig/Freezer in our Essex, but the top of the Frig now touches the Basement Door Gasket as it rolls out. Such is the give and take of MH design.
