Mountain Aire body work

Sorry for the frustrated post but........

Had a fender bender on our last outing, took out the plumbing door, fender, radiator grill and left rear bumper on our 2012 Mountain Aire. $15,000 later and now 10 weeks in the shop, I had NO idea how slow the repair industry is on RV's. It took Newmar 6 weeks to replace the plumbing door and grille. The fender is made at some out sourced shop. 6 week for the fender to be made and two weeks to ship to only have it delivered in 3 broken pieces. Now waiting 4 weeks for a replacement for that fender. I just find it incredulous that we spend the tremendous amount of money on our coaches and have as little after sale support as we have. Newmar doesn't stock any extra parts and is not willing to pull anything off the production line to prevent upsetting new buyers. There should be a happy medium somewhere. We are not full-timing yet. I can"t imagine how full-timers handle the lack of after-market service!

Thank you for this web site. Some great info comes through this service. Again I apologize for the rant.

It does seem strange that body parts aren't stocked until you think about how many parts there are on each model and year of the RV's.
