As for Diamon Fusion windshield treatment, RVDude really only loves the 4 year chip warranty. The cost of a new 'shield is twice the cost of the Diamon Fusion and eliminates a car insurance claim. Hence, this seemed very economic as a chip is almost inevitable. As for DF's other attributes, the bugs do seem to come off exceptionally easily but that is about it.
Ladders... Try Telesteps or something similar. Very compact. I got mine at a Costco for less than $150. They also now have a step-ladder model.

I added shelves to my front door-side compartment and store the ladder like this: It's the silver item near the bottom.

Daryl, Your '08 MADP looks awesome. I noted you said your "buddy screen" did not work. It is probably on default caused by turning off chassis batteries via the switch located in the engine compartment. (this is usually done by dealers as a security measure.
Go into the menu on the main screen, there are several, find the one that has the view options and look for turning "Mirror" on. It will then work.

Hi Peter,
If you mean side view cameras by buddy screen mine do work. MADP has 1 screen with 4 different modes. It's the Voyager System that never worked. They think that the DVD reader is bad. I tried to get the factory to install another Pioneer for second screen. When turning or changing lanes while in Nav mode the screen in my 2006 went all map and no rear camera just when you need it most.
Thanks, Daryl

Oh, okay Daryl. I thought you were referring to a passenger repeater screen for the navigation information.
But.....Your new rig still looks awesome.

Jeff, we'll agree to disagree on the Diamon-Fusion....
My RV manufacturer advised me they would not make a decision pro or con on this issue, but that they would not allow the process to be done on their property.
That statement of sorts spoke volumes.
We've hashed this one over and over and I guess will have to disagree.
I bet Don's wishing he handled that claim a little differently now...

Bob, I do not think we actually disagree on DF. In the right situations, it is just an expensive insurance policy. Really, that's about it in a nutshell for me - as I expect to have a chip or two and or three on my extensive travels way up north which will invariably lead to a crack due to DF's much discussed slow chip repair response. Not clear how well they execute on a warranty claim - yep, Don sure botched it with that demo...
If you expect to get multiple chips and expect those chips to lead to cracks after making a claim DF might be worth it - getting a new 'shield under warranty. Otherwise the other touted features are very highly priced, did I say very highly priced.
