On Friday (yesterday) I posted a New Thread on the NEWMAR section of the forum regarding a Camp Site Exchange Idea that I wanted to run by the Newmar bunch. This a.m. I found it had been moved out of the Newmar section into the "General Discussion" section of the iRV2 site and was wondering why???? I'd intentionally placed it in the Newmar section to generate feedback from other Newmar owners about this idea, since I believe building a Camp Site Exchange system that is inclusive of the whole RV world from MH's to Truck Campers & Pop Up Rigs is problematic, at least in the beginning. Just wondering about your moving the post. Steve

Steve

Under the old software we had the ability to link a post to another topic and posts would be seen in both. This was done frequently. This software does not have that same capability but in the end that is a good thing. When linking in the old software copies were stored in both topics. As this was a common practice there was a lot of wasted disk space storing both threads.

I was not the moderator that moved the thread so I am going out on a limb by guessing here. I read your original post. There was no mention of keeping the suggestion within the Newmar Owner community. As the idea seemed generic, I can only assume a moderator read the post and moved it to General Discussion so that all RV'ers could share in the idea.

Reading some of the posts so far members think you have a good idea the more input you will receive because of the move.
Most moves are made with a 1 month time limit in its original posted forum.
ANY MEMBER IN NEWMAR FORUM can go to moved post and add his comments to the posting, he or she does not have to go hunting for it is still here in this forum. This goes for any moved post.
