MSRP

Has anyone gotten 30% off the MSRP when buying a Newmar?

Think you'd need to specify which model, when asking/answering that question.... there's big differences in the model line.

Depends on the model. For our Dutch Star we got right at 29.5%. Probably could of got a little over 30 from another dealer but wanted to buy from our local dealer (Independence RV) as they are 15 min away & very well known for service after the sale.

I got 27 percent for a 2017 Dutch Star and 38 percent for a 2013 Diplomat when Navistar was selling the line. However, it also discounted the trade-in.

I'm deep into my research and gathering dealer quotes. The best quotes I got so far have all been at 28% without negotiating. The best was 32%, but was on a Essex and that's a little out of our price range. Those 28% are all on 2017 MADP or LADP.

I am looking at a Vetanna LE. One dealer was at 17% and Wholesale for my trade and another 21% and Wholesale. I understand that there is not the profit margin in the Ventanna LE line, and this is the prime time for selling, but am still hoping for more then 21%.

any time a trade-in unit involved, there is no way you will ever know the actual % you are getting off of MSRP. The MSRP is easy to find on most Newmar coaches, but when a trade-in is part of the deal, the best you can do is compare your net cost from multiple dealers to determine which has the lowest cost. There are too many ways a dealer can make his quote appear to have the highest % off of the MSRP.

If you can get the highest amount for the trade-in AND the highest % off the MSRP from the SAME dealer, then you have the best deal....but that rarely happens
Good luck with your search for a deal you can live with.

There are 5 VT LE listed HERE:
National Indoor RV Centers - RV Sale LE&manufacturer=Newmar

You'll need to check with them to see what their asking prices are, but I think they can beat 21% easily. Have you considered selling your trade-in yourself and shopping with "cash"?

The dealer has come up to 24% off and wholesale for my coach, so I think this is probably the best I am going to get. I think I will try and sell my own. I should get between $7,500-$10,000 more then wholesale if I can put up with the hassle.

Another one who got 28% off a Ventana LE, ordered new from the factory, from two different dealers without really much negotiating. With the dealer we picked, they suggested we 'consign' our old gas Class A rather than 'trade in.' Gave us the average retail price from NADA and the unit sold in a few weeks so we have our cash in hand even before the new RV is delivered. Overall very good experience.

How do you determine "wholesale" for your coach?
