I am a newbie and learning much. I have an '05 KSDP with the Sony TV, the Sony video/VCR player, and Winegard distribution panel. I read alot about surround sound troubles etc. and a subwoofer. The sound in my rig is sad. Is there a subwoofer I can't find and a switch/setting to get surround sound? Not a user friendly system. Any help? Thanks

Welcome to the forum. Does your unit have surround sound? I believe it was an option. If it does not, your unit may be able to provide better quality sound using the in-dash radio. It should be able to control and amplify the TV sound through the auxillary output. This is available by selecting the aux. setting on the radio. Hope this is of some help.

Wade & Lee Ann welcome to irv2 and the Newmar forum.
Congrats on your KSDP many safe and happy miles.
Your sub-woofer maybe under your kitchen sink cabinet or in a table cabinet next to your recliner, dependent on what options you may have.If you have the surround sound option you will have three recessed spk's in ceiling over drivers & pass seats and two in rear in kitchen area. These spk,s will only work when playing thru DVD amp using movies of FM radio, CD play back with DVD amp.
You will have two other spk's up front off your FM-AM-CD radio on dash with spk's muiltibled in kitchen ceiling. In your bedroom you will have two spk's off dash radio that can be adjusted by the FAD control on dash radio and also have switches on wall to shut them off when you want quite.
Enjoy the forum and when you want some KARMA for this forum let us know, do post often.

Hi Y'all,I agree the SONY DVD/FM is very user unfriendly,it came standard with surround sound in my 05 KSDP.My woofer is wired in in the back but I have not found it yet---it's not by the recliner or under the kitchen sink.I believe it is hidden in the dash center were the drawers are.

Mine is behind the kick panel in front of the passenger seat. It is horrible. The bass notes are not in time with the music. I have tried reversing speaker polarity to see if that helped, but it's still sad. I have turned it OFF.
