Hi Folks

I'm not new to RVing but new to the forum. I could really use some help with the bracing configuration of the rear bumper on my 1997 38' KountryAire. It was damaged and sent away for repair but it came back with the bracing or more specifically, the mounting points, completely wrong.

Any help with a bracing diagram or closeup picture from another '97 owner, would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome 2hoots to the Newmar forum.
Is this bumper on motor home or 5th wheel?
MH bumper will pull out with spare tire and some have batteries.
We have a 5th wheel group that can be found on this thread.

Very grateful for your fast response and my apologies for not mentioning that it was a Motorhome I referring to. You are correct, that the bumper bracing is connected to the spare tire support. Somehow the bracing is messed up and info on correct configuration with fibreglas bumper is where I am confused.

Do not know what repair did but on my old coach think all the bracing was inbed in the fiberglass bumper.
If the bracing is now loose and floating you could maybe drill bumper and use some chrome screw bolts to reinforce bracing.
You will have to make sure the whole tire slide meets up with body of rear bumper area when its pushed into slot of rear body.
