We did the money transfer and paperwork today. Tomorrow is the PDI and the transfer of my possessions from the old RV to my new DS4018.

It was a surreal experience to walk into my DS and realize that this motorcoach is mine. I must admit, I immediately went through the unit making sure that all my specials were done and were completed to my satisfaction.

Wow, that is an amazing looking coach!! I know what you mean about the surreal feeling of walking through it knowing it's yours. My coach was on order for almost 6 months. After spending that 6 months online "lusting" over pictures of similar RVs, I couldn't have been more excited to walk through the real thing and know it was mine. Anyway, congrats and enjoy the new coach!

For getting rid of road salt. I use a lawn sprinkler and wash underneath from front to rear. You can just hand pull the hose ,

Just be careful .

Thanks, Everyone! I appreciate the feedback.

Deciding on specials is such a stressful process (at least for me). I made several updates to my list of 19 specials before the final cut off date. I'm sure that I tested the patience of both my dealership and Michelle at Newmar at some point. To my surprise, my dealership told me yesterday that my DS4018 had the most specials he's come across.

After I made my final list and it was too late to change, then came the stress of waiting and pondering if I made the right decisions. I've had many nights thinking about this and that. Ugh! I'm glad it's finally over.

The transfer of items from the old RV to the new RV took a lot longer than I had anticipated. It was not only a physical workout (in 93 degrees), but also a mental exercise in how to organize things as efficiently as possible.

As for the PDI, I was there till 6pm (I was so physically and mentally exhausted by then). The gates to the place were already closed, but the technician was willing to sit and answer all my questions. He gave me his business card and he said that I could call him anytime, 7 days a week. He said that it might roll into VM sometimes, but he'll get back to me asap.
