It is apparent Newmar is making a sincere effort to produce the best products possible at a cost that is acceptable with the resources that they have available at the time any coach is built. Quality control is important and from what I have read Newmar is trying to provide the level of quality control that most of us want. Yes, something will be missed, but I'll place my order with Newmar anytime because I know they will make everything right!

You have a great point, although the MA is a very nice MH and a nice upgrade from a DS it isn’t far enough from a LA and gets past over enough to make them stay longer in dealer inventory is what I have been told by a reliable source. No disrespect to MA owners, I wish it were in my price range. Stuart

I agree Stuart. I've always loved the MA. Would have moved to one but couldn't swing it. I did settle on the Itasca Ellipse for price, and (at the time), it had more amenities that suited us than the DS. I say again, at that time. It's a good coach and serving us well.

But I do want to move up further one day. Most likely back to Newmar and a London Aire for a "forever coach". I know I'd love the 605hp and everything else. However, if that high up is not in the cards, it will be a MA.

Thing is, to ewlee's point, I've thought of getting a MA with all the specials from LA, Essex, and KA I'm allowed. But for what that would cost, well, I've probably spent as much as a LA would cost. The gap is not very wide in that scenario.

Best regards,
W.D.

I had a LA last year and a MA this year. There really is no difference other than the 300ft/lbs in torque. Which I have not noticed and I think its that the 500 cummins weighs less than the 600. I pull a stacker trailer with both coaches and they seem to run the same speed up my usual mountain passes. Both are a good bang for the buck.
