IMO the only people that have no "Right to Rant", (about RV problems), are people who don't own an RV.

I've enjoyed our BSS 3004 and won't be one to be overly critical of a built by hand house on wheels. I can understand the small items that go wrong. It's the stupid stuff that gets me. Build sheet match order sheet? Check. Final build match BOTH build sheet AND design specs? Check. If either question was NO then Stop and correct it. Miss a window? Put it in! Miss a floor heat register? Put it in! Dura Shield look like cr_p? Fix it!

Three Newmars since 2000 ! Problems... sure ! But all in all wouldn't trade the last 17 years to be in a different coach! CS always kept me on the road and worked through the problems. We are all human and yes we all make mistakes ...

A friend of mine told me a long time ago "if you don't have a sense of humor and cant turn a screwdriver you shouldn't have an RV"

I'm happy that you have been able to afford 3 different Newmars since 2000.

No disrespect intend... but I have no doubt that people who replace motorhomes every 5-6 years, (by trading up), have a lot less to rant about than those of us who are driving, using, and fixing what are now 20+ year old motorhomes.

Woodchopper, If you feel you have to rant about a 20 year old unit then you probably need to look in the mirror for the problem, not blame the manufacturer. Periodic maintenance is the key for all especially old rigs.

That could apply to a lot of vehicles used for personal recreation!

Over 15 years ago I had a T-shirt that read "Ducati, Making Mechanics Out of Riders Since 1946".

Well I'll tell ya one thing......if I come across a zero problems ever RV, I will have won the RV lottery. I could then sell the unit when I'm done with it for any amount of money.....for it would truly be a one of a kind miracle motorhome. Then I'll sell you my oceanfront property in Arizona too.

Regards,
W.D.

My long list of problems with my 2015 Canyon Star was nearly all related to improper installation and poor workmanship. I don't blame the workers. The component quality was good. Just bad engineering, design, quality control, management, and customer service.

I think that if you look through the rants they are mostly along the line of "I just paid $x00000 for this RV and it has defects". It seems folks with older units expect a certain amount of repairs as stuff ages out. Their issue is the occasional premature death. It's the new purchasers who expect perfection they are not getting.

Why a Foretravel? I was not impressed. They are no longer foretravel, they have become a copier of Newmars King Aire, with little success.
