The other day I decided to climb up on the roof to see what all is there. That is one BUSY roof !!
So what all is there ? Well, The things I recognized were:- THREE Air Conditioners
- THREE Vents
- A ‘Trac Vision’ dome thingie – not sure exactly what that is for but ‘think’ the previous Owner had it installed for Satellite TV ?
- Antenna
- Bathroom sky light
The first pic shows what looks like a crack ?? Didn't like the looks of that. Is this a problem ?? What should I use to correct it if it is a concern ??
Then I saw these other things that I have no idea what they are or what they are for ??
The third pic looks like a wee little solar panel. Wonder what it powers ???
The second, fourth and fifth pics - I don't know what these things are ??
Any help is appreciated !!
p.s. The manuals that came with this rig are useless !!

pic one is a roof seam..pic 2 is an antenna post with out antenna, could be radio or cb.. pic 2 is antenna attached to post and small solar panel, it lights the little red dot on dash when working..pic 4 is Sat radio antenna...pic 5 is cover over fridge vent, it allows for proper air flow for cooling...all looks ok but roof seam could be neater (sp)..keep an eye on it for cracks and gaps on sealant

I highly recommend looking at your roof periodically. Was on a friends roof at a rally looking at his cb antenna and looked over at mine and noticed my front ac shroud was gone and I jave no idea when it left.

Are you saying there wasn't a " shroud " of evidence. Sorry.

The missing antenna is your am/fm "rubber ducky" which is obviously missing.......do you have good radio reception? The other antenna in front of the solar panel is for CB.

The wrap, arrows, sealant needs to be cleaned out and resealed if its in the rear of coach may not cause eminent problem but if up front water will be getting inside the coach and all your coach wiring is run through the coach in these wrap areas.
Your stainless rib seams sealants areas look OK.

Radio reception is adequate - although I must say I rarely have it on. Sometimes I will have the radio on while driving - other than that I don't turn it on at all.
Guess the previous owner had a CB installed ??

The area where there is (what I think is) a crack - the first pic with the arrows - is located right at the rear of the coach.
What product should it be resealed with ?? And is this something I can tackle myself ??
Don't know what you meant by "Your stainless rib seams sealants areas look OK" ?

if no water at present and if I read correctly it is at rear then keep an eye on seam...I had a 98 and they looked worse but if looked at up close they did not have cracks, holes, or delaminations that went through so they were never re sealed and worked well for over 5 years and 50,000 miles...if you wish to re do go to rv dealer or CW and ask for sealant for them or call Newmar and find out what they suggest and buy it and redo seals...Not sure if Newmar has rubber duckies any more..think I saw a post that said no...Coach is a 2010..roof seals if done correctly should be good for a few more years...

Actually, I think what you saw was Newmar is not offering the "rubber ducky" type CB antenna any more, they still use one for am/fm as far as I know. The CB antenna was a $99 option in 2010, ask me how I know.

Yes you can reseal yourselves, I have been doing my 03 coach all seams and that one with arrows needs it so it looks.
You have a fairly new coach so it will be in better shape than my 03, like has been said just inspect every year.
I bought my sealant from Newmar when I was out there but a West Marine will have some good sealant and also gives you enough work time to make it easy.
That seam you need a small thin knife to get loose sealant out and clean surface.
Squeeze new sealant under lip and add smooth bead.
You can use turpentine to clean before applying new sealant.
This same picture shows the rib with screws at corner of your roof it looks brand new as it should, sealant OK and screws new. Your Screws maybe stainless steel but mine are rusted, 03 coach and I replace with stainless.

007, Ya figured it could be something I'd be able to tackle myself. Can you give me more specifics on the type of sealant ??
I'm in a small town right now with just a local hardware store and a Lordco. Don't know if Lordco is in the States but it is a auto parts kinda place.
I will be heading South to Arizona in December so if I can get something before that, perhaps I can get the right product at Camping World ??

Newmar uses a Sikaflex-521UV sealant in seams. Looks like a gray color.
And on roof vents and the rib a self leveling sealant dicor white 502-LSW.
You can do yourself just take your time and use thin blade knife to get loose sealant from under wrap metal.
Cut a small bead in tube so you can force sealant under metal wrap.
If you ever have to do over windows or doors and sidewall seams you can cut larger bead.
If you cannot find the sealant you can use from a West Marine store one of their good sealant for boats its easy to work with and allows time to work before setting up or drying.
