Mysterious button underneath dashboard.

Hey y'all... what is this button for?? A kill switch? The white square looks to be a double-stick tape.

This accidently dropped down from beneath the dashboard above the pedals when I was looking for something else.

Thanks!

Good question. My guess is that it's not OEM. Follow the wires and see where it leads you.

Maybe a little speaker such as warning your jacks are down?

Could it be the hidden button to re-program your door entry code ?

Do not press the button unless you want to eject your DW from the passenger seat.

Or it could be the button used to reprogram the Marksman remote door openers.

If the wires lead up to the MCD windshield shades, it could be the "learning key" for adjusting the up or down heights.

I just saw that same button on the left side of the steering column about knee level. No idea what it is for yet. My keypad learning button is by the passengers seat so that's not it.

BrokeDown. I have a button on the left side of steering about knee height also. If you kind out what this is let me know. I haven't a clue what it does. It is definitely a switch but I'm not going to push it till I find out what it does. My other coach had a button on the passenger side to reprogram the door code.

Thats where is is now on this coach.

The original owner of this coach told me that he had Newmar upgrade the electronic lock on this coach when he had the sides replaced. Maybe the button is for reprogramming the door code on the older system. My guy is out of the country right now and will not be back for a few weeks. I am sure he let me know what it is for once he returns.

Send an email, with the picture, to Newmar and ask them. If it isn't some aftermarket addon they should know what it is.
