I have a 2007 KSDP 3912 with the Spartan Chassis and a Cummins 350 engine. While I was poking around under the steering column looking for a good place to add a CB I noticed a switch next to a (diagnostic?) plug. Does anybody know the function of this switch?

Also any thoughts on mounting a CB would be appreciated.

Have a nice day - Darrel

On our 07 KSDP 3910, I have a plastic "pocket" to the left mounted on the inside of the exterior wall just to the left of the drivers seat. I just placed my CB in this pocket, clamped it tight and ran the wires up under the dash. The location works well if I could just get my CB to work. So far no one has been able to adjust the antenna for the radio to work. It goes to the dealer next week. We'll see what they can do.

Well, I have answered my own question. While searching for CB mounting, I was able to see the description under the switch - "ABS Diagnostic". Since it is in a location that is susceptable to being bumped by a left foot I was concerned.
Thanks to H Moffit's reply. After a diligent search for a way to mount the CB in the dash, I decided that his option was the best.

Have a nice day - Darrel
