We have been going to Pelican Lake for 5 years now. This will be our 6th. We love it there. Close to Marco island beaches and shopping. We drove through Signature last year just to see what it looks like. Everyone is different in what they want and expect but we find Pelican is landscaped much nicer and has more privacy between the lots. You can either book on lake, off lake or cul de sac lots. We like the cul des sac lots. (figures they are the most money) but have have kids and gives a little less traffic. You can rent a golf cart from B&W golf carts if you want and dont have one. If you are leaning towards going there you should look at booking soon. When I booked us a week ago for April she mentioned that they were filling up very quickly for Jan-Mar. Hope you have a great time!
Jon

I would suggest adding Crystal Lake RV resort to your list. It is literally in Naples but you would never know it when you are inside. We spent a month there last winter. It, also, is pricey, but exceptionally well maintained and there are multiple pools and other facilities. Lot of park models, but there are plenty of RVs also.

We spend 3 mos at http://crystallakervresort.com/ every year and IMHO it is the best. Rated at the top by Woodalls and TrailerLife. It allows trailers, 5th wheels and Class Cs, Bs and As so long as they are at least 25 ft. Concrete pads (on lake and off) and highly landscaped with lots of amenities and close to Naples. Those without Prevost are not looked down on there unlike some others I have heard about nearby. We leave for there in a couple of days.

We will be staying in Naples for the first time this year. We will be spending the month of February at Pelican Lake. Though we haven't been there before I have friends that have stayed there and say it is the best. It is a motor coach only resort but I don't think they look down on you for not owning a Prevost. If you are interested you might contact Sue Rosol, 734-377-8602, slrosol@aol.com. I stumbled onto her by accident. She rents lots directly for the owners and had available sites at the same time that I was on a waiting list through the rental office.

I guess some people don't make their lots available through the rental office. Probably more $ in their pockets that way.

I just had a resident from my storage go down there for the winter. I looked at the price of the lots. $369,000 plus $2100/year taxes and $925/qt condo fees. Wholly Cow!!
I looked into going but between the bugs and the OLD Folks driving, it's not a good place to motorcycle ride.It sounds like the place for Newlyweds and the almost deads.
I don't know which side I'm on.

Lots are selling for half that price. One thing to consider though it is not a KOA... :-)

It located on 41 east about a mile off of Collier Blvd. Three swimming pools heated. Continental breakfast. A lunch one day a week meet and greet. Oh yes a Happy Hour on Tuesday and it is all on the resort. Very nice Club House. We have been staying there for a mouth for the past three years on are way to Blue Waters in the Keys. We stay there in November and part of December.

We are stopping in Naples for the month of January. Like to tell you where we are staying and what we are paying, but we'd have to shoot you.
Hint: Go to the Tampa supper show this year and they will throw discount coupons at you for next year...!
