Thanks. Do you know if it also does map updates via wifi?

Thanks Bill. I'll be picking it up from the storage building tomorrow for the Dallas dog show next week. I'll take a look up under there . May make a run over to Lewisville NIRVC since I'll be in the neighborhood. Depending on what I find.

No unfortunately it doesn't. You have to take the little card out of the radio and put it in your computer. Then you use the Rand McNally Dock application to update the maps. It also updates the construction data and POI data. You can download that application from the Rand McNally website.

It can be a pain to get the card out of the radio. I usually use the tip of a ballpoint pen. If I only had long fingernails I wouldn't need that as a helper.

Well, I can't see the back of the unit. The draws below it are in a box so no access. Looking up from around the driver's peddles, no way,vacant eve see it. No clue how to get to the back side and look at the Xite unit for the dongle. Looks like I have to call NIRVC anyway, my electrical systems drops everything for a minute or so when on generator. Sigh...

On Ventana's (at least ours) you have to remove the front panel of the Xite then there are screws. Haven't unscrewed mine yet, I have removed the panel to take a look. Neil provided the information awhile back, just have to be real careful not to crack the panel, if you don't feel comfortable I suggest you let NIRVC do it.

My New Aire is back at NIRVC for warranty work and noticed that my head unit didn’t have WiFi connectivity either. After some digging I believe I found the culprit to be a missing TM550 module. I asked NIRVC to inquire with Newmar. Can update the thread when I pick it back up next week.

That would be great. Just had my gen looked at by my local guy, clogged fuel filter. So don't have to make the drive immediately to NIRVC. Will be curious to see what your rep,y is. I have actually thought about replacing mine with an android tablet.
