We are on the road heading from Florida to NH. yes that is correct south to north. The Oasis heater faults out when turned on. Looking at the heater unit itself there are led's that tell me that after trying to start the "flame out" led comes on and will not fire. I have tried Newmar and Oasis and left messages. I am afraid the coach will frezze up!!

Please send any email help to tm@metalworks-inc.com

First suspect would be the optical reader lense. If it gets dirty, over time, it will not see the flame and shut it down. If that is the case, if you know how to access this on your model, you can clean it and go.

Tom, In the meantime, turn on the electric heating switch and run the genset. That will keep things warm until repairs or adjustments can be made to the Oasis.

Your service manual page 25 says to press reset button or switch feeding 12v to Oasis. MANUAL
You may have a clogged nozzel or dirty filter causing flameout.
This web site WEB SITE has a service center listings that may help.
Can't help you more than that just follow the cautions if you do some service work yourself.

Hey guys, Thanks for all the resposes and phone calls to try and help me out. We have just made it back home today. Had to use the heat pumps and space heaters to gets home. I tried all of the suggestions and could not get it to fire, It seams when the burner will not fire it will not circulate anything. Waiting on a call from Oasis to help figure out what went wrong.

I had a problem last year with my furnace not working with motoraid, where the engine coolant heats the furnace and lets you use it without running the diesel burner when driving. My system just did not seem to want to work when driving, and I was getting a fault light but don't remember which one.
Newmar told me to turn off the entire heating system before unplugging from 110, starting the engine, then turning the heat back on. My furnace and motoraid has worked like a charm since then.

FWIW - AquaHot's MotorAide feature uses no electronics or pumps or mechanical anything. It's just a wide open feed and return line from the main engine's coolant system. The main engine's coolant pump indirectly drives the flow through those lines pumping the hot engine coolant into the the AquaHot to heat it. I suspect Oasis would be the same no mechanical parts setup.

BTW: You can add a pump to that AquaHot MotorAide circuit (AquaHot has all the wires and mounts already in place) so that you can force the flow of engine coolant from a hot AquaHot to the cold main engine and thus preheat the main engine using the AquaHot. About $350 for the pump and an hour to install. Oasis comes with this feature already installed I think.

I had to add the pump to my Oasis to get the engine pre-heat. The control panel did come with the switch. It cost $300 parts and labor to have it installed and it works great.
Thanks, Daryl
