My wife & I are working on our coach today (again) ... we're trying to winterize the coach and having trouble getting the RV antifreeze to pick up from the gal bottle ... it'll pick up just fine and pump into my fresh water tank but not the house water system ... I noticed ath t the whole house water filter has a note to remove the filter and "replace the glass bulb" before winterizing ... I don't have a glass bulb to re-install ... could this be my problem ? ... any work-arounds ? ... thoughts ... Don

Don

Welcome to the Good Ship IRV2.

Do you have the line to the Fresh water tank shut 'OFF'
You should not be getting water in the fresh water tank as it will be shut off.

The water filter might not have a By Pass. Take the filter out and replace the cannister also known as "glass bulb"

Rick

Rick is right. Make sure you don't have the valve set to fill the tank, and take out the filter and re-install the filter lid.

Ok, I have the tank valve off, and have reinstalled the filter housing. The pump is not picking up the anti freeze out of the gallon container. Should the housing be filled with anti freeze prior to reinstall? Any other ideas?

Don
The obvious but Do you have the shut off for the anti freeze tube 'Open'

Is it attached to pump and clamped No leaks.

You could fill the fiter housing but it will not make any difference,

don,

if still having the issue, PM me and I'll see if I can go through it by phone. The only thing I can think of is that the valves at the pickup are not in the right direction.

If the pump is working there's really no other reason it should not be picking up the pink stuff.
