I can see why Leisure Tyme has leftovers...when I was looking at the 06 Mountain Aires when they were the current model, I drove there from Mobile (65 miles) for a test drive..there wasn't one I was particularly interested in...when ready to take one for a spin the salesman said to wait...he walked over to the sales manager and came back a few minutes later to tell me that we had to have a DEAL before I could go for a test drive...I asked why and was told it's to keep the mileage down on the new vehicles...I told him he would see my tail lights but never see my headlights again! As you can see by my signature, Leisure Tyme didnt stop me...but I will never give them the time of day...

Don't want to hijack the tread but I can do footdoc one better...

Stopped at LaMesa in Phoenix couple of weeks ago and all the "highline" coaches were locked...I asked the saleman to unlock a 2008 Essex...He said before they would unlock the door, I would have to come into the office , fill out "some" paperwork and have my credit checked!

I said "adios"...

Jack,
One would think, with the current state of affairs in the rv industry, that a dealer would try to put the keys in your pocket just hoping to get the rig off the lot. Seems like some dealers must have more dollars than sense. JMHO.

I agree Phelpo. It is another of a long list of items to look closely at. Some you would look at even on an 08 on a lot.

Those 2006 models will be 3 years old in a few months, and should be evaluated as used units as far as wear and tear.

BTW, a unit that has sat for years may have more problems than one that has had regular use.
