Ritchie, Dave pointed you in the right direction for trans fluid temp, the code that worked for me was the first trans fluid temp in the Ford CAN list, but if one does not work the other should.. My transmission temps in similar situation (flat roads, 65MPH) would be in the 160 to 170F range. I've seen it go over 180F only on the 8% 5 mile grade up US421 on route to Boone NC, it may have gone to 182F or so on a 95F day in summer.
I use CHT (Cylinder Head Temperature) instead of water temp and see flatland (60-70MPH) CHT's of around 205 to 215F, depending on speed and headwind. Water temps seem to be about 10F lower. Going up the US421 grade CHT's get to 226F in summer. My thought there is if CHT gets above 226F for any period of time there is a problem. CHT will go down to 195F and stay there going down the same grade, which happens to be the water temp at the time.
BTW, I've never been able to get CTQ (Torque into converter) to work, I'd be interested to see if anyone has with the Ford V10.
