New 2019 Dash
Is anybody besides me a bit nervous about a “new to Dutch Star” digital dash? They made quite a mess of the sanicon, and I can live with that, but a new dash?

Come on now, you know Amish'land is good with electronics But Newmar doesn't make these...
Also compare SP vs FL digital dashes, they are not the same and hopefully both vendors can provide a reliable dash. We'll see which vendor better understands software and user interface design (yeah, I'm a software developer and know this area passionately).
The smaller unit on the DSDP is odd compared to the 15" on Essex and KADP. Not sure why they can't just standardize the darned dash across the line. It's too small, instrumentation and readability is important. Why not just put the info on your smartphone and mount it in front of you, that's the paradigm I consider for what they chose to use here.
It's going to be very interesting ahead hearing feedback on this smaller digital dash.
Edit: It would be nice if both vendors provided digital dash simulators so you could explore them in full detail to make an educated purchase. Or maybe you can find manuals that at least have images of the displays and layouts.

Is it an option or standard equipment? Not an option I would select. I'm a little old-school.

I agree. But it’s not an option.

Is it not OEM Spartan or Freightliner? If so probably safer then Newmar electrical “innovation”
The thing that gets me, why make digital look like a analog?

I'm holding out
for the heads-up display (HUD) in the 2021 Luxury line of Newmar coaches!

Spartan tells me it’s the same as what’s in the MA thru Essex, but a different version than 2018.

Newmar Facebook Photo Albums of 2019's: https://www.facebook.com/pg/gonewmar/photos/?tab=albums
Essex and KA are 15", ALL lower models are the smaller digital dash.
Upgrade to Ventana if you want traditional round dials (non digital).
Essex has tanning lights for ghost white legs as pictured (right).

The main DS dash looks big enough for the 15 inch screen! Why not make them the same! I know I know model separation.....
Maybe a special ha ha...

The friggin dash left to right (including monitors) should not be part of model separation. They should use the large screens, highest quality, and represent a great product. There is enough from behind the dash to differentiate coaches from the seats, and everything beyond. This is pure stupid. Even on the Essex and KA I wouldn't want an aftermarket shoe horned dash, make it fit the contour completely and be all glass per se. I just don't get it! Hello auto industry!!!

Neal,
I agree and the the FL dash looks better in the pictures. Even the 2018 Essex brochure is a FL picture that should tell you something. Have a look a dash picture on the Tom Lindsom RV in Calif (FL) and the mount comfort Spartan dash.
No Spartan dash in the 2018 KA brochure and no dash visible in any of the 2018 KA on RVTrader? Is it that bad. Anyone have a picture? I will check the Newmar pictures on FB
Yes they show a 2019 KA picture and yes I want the 15 inch screen? So Spartan can do it if Newmar lets them.
