I read a previous New Aire post a couple of months ago (not sure where) that said between 50 amp and 30 amp, the SilverLeaf system recognizes input and adjusts accordingly. There is a selection in a SilverLeaf submenu, but manual adjustment is not required. According to this post, manual adjustment would be required for 20 amps, but I don’t intend to hook up to that.
I used a 30 amp hookup once and paid attention to what I ran so as not to draw too much. When unplugging I was surprised how hot the dog bone was (not good).
I’m not sure why it happened, but if you use 30 amp, monitor the temperature of your dog bone.
