New Aire Dash yellow warning symbol

Am at Newmar for FPU of a New Aire 3341 which has been a very positive experience. It is hard to imagine how any dealer can cover all the features of the coach and deal with any issues in any amount of time they might allocate to the process.

I have an issue that has my technician and others here stumped...am getting a yellow crash icon on the dash (see attachment) that appears while stationery and will not go away until we are driving. It does re-appear if we are in close proximity to another vehicle as you would expect it to. An irritating audible signal seems to accompany the warning while stationery.

Has anyone else encountered this? Is there a way to override it?

Normal except for audible signal. Indicates system not active. Audible alert may be for some other system. For instance if 50 amp plug is in when ignition is on you will get an alert. Often the same tone.

Sort of distressing that the factory still is not up to speed on OptiView.

Thanks Turbo...yes, audible warning was related to 50 amp plug. The Freightliner rep happened to be in the shop and he didn't know either.

Hi Gil-

Hope you’re having fun! I’m glad to know what the audible alert is. I always have it while bringing the coach up to ride height before retracting the slides when leaving a campground. I thought it was a sensor telling me I was too close to an object, say the pedestal. Now we have no excuse for driving off while still plugged in!

Morning Ward...

I'm not sure "fun" is the right word....however, FPU is going very well. Good to know the root cause of the alert...I'll talk to them this morning and see if there is some kind of override. I guess this is a never ending learning experience.

Gil
