Most New Aire’s are averaging a terrible 8 mpg.

Wow! With biodiesel fuel  , DEF systems  .........Who would ever think? 
It will get better with higher accumulated miles, but don't expect 15 or so. It probably will never happen. 10 MPG may be the holy grail with this bad boy.

Guys this coach is fairly heavy for the torque this engine puts out. 10 would be the ceiling that I would expect from this combination. I think 1100-1200 lbs feet of torque would not be working so hard all the time and could very well deliver higher mileage. All JMHO

I would almost guarantee you'll never see 10 as an overall average. You may achieve this crossing the plains with the wind behind you but not as an average. Just my experience with my 380 hp 2012 Ventana and what I've learned by talking with other newer motor home owners.

Agree, with biodiesel, emission refs, big alternator, heavy coach, etc 8-9 would be doing really good. All JMHO

Over 22,000 miles, we have averaged 9.5 mpg in our 2014 Ventana LE 3436 with 340 HP ISB owing a 2014 Honda CR-V. Much of our travel was in the mountainous West. That said, I wouldn't see us getting much of an improvement out in the middle of the plains states. Moving heavy vehicles with basically flat fronts catching a lot of air just requires a lot of fuel.

I’m seeing 7-8.5 depending on speed, terrain, etc. never seen 9 in a given fill up.

Left Indiana on 21 Apr, after factory pickup. 1500 miles since then, mostly flat except through Tennessee and north Georgia, towing a Chevy Cruze. Average mpg is 8.1.

What was your average MPH, wind speed/direction? Average MPH should be in your trip computer. Since aerodynamic drag accounts for 2/3 of the horsepower/fuel flow at 65 mph, speed is a big variable in fuel economy. All of these comparisons of fuel economy must include average MPH and wind conditions to make any a sense.
In my NA a 20 mph head wind or tail wind can give me up to 20% better or worse MPG.
Running all up around at around 38,000 lbs with the Jeep Wrangler I am seeing around 7.5 to 8.0 MPG at 65mph, zero wind and flat terrain.

Most of our miles are from Nappanee to California, running at 65 MPH without a toad. The trip home was mostly with wind in our face getting ~6.7 MPG, wind speed varied from 10-20 MPH. I’m still waiting for a tailwind so we can see 9 MPG.
Thru Indiana & Illinois, we got our best mileage at 8.3 and that is close to what we’re getting moving around CA.
