New Aire Headboard

I have not not seen anyone say much about the new bedroom headboard on the NA. Just a bit curious if there are any noteworthy impressions. Perhaps about supporting you when you are propped up in bed or is it chilly on cold days?

Thanks!

We were concerned that it would not support us when, as you say, we are propped up in bed. That is not the case at all...I think it is attractive and functional.

My wife really likes them for adding nice light with privacy during the day. We don't feel the cold at night coming through. You can open either side to let in fresh air. There are multiple windows at the head of the bed (left, right and behind) for cross ventilation which makes a big difference in air flow.

If you are referring to the sliding bedroom window coverings supporting you, then it depends. If you put two pillows behind you so you sit more vertical then it is not an issue. But if a heavier person (over 250 lbs) was to lean far back firmly, I'm not sure it would support that without damage. The support is hard plastic but its not that thick.

Thank you for the confirmation that all is well with this new feature. At 175lbs and a nearly bald head, I like what I am reading.

I kinda figured that would be the case because I think this topic would have come up on one of the other thorough threads.

Thinking of ordering a headboard window as a special on a coming purchase of a Mountain Aire. How does the shade work — is it behind the glass/plastic sliding window? Otherwise, it seems like it would be in the way and subject to lots of damage.

Yes, the shade is behind the sliding window. Ours works well.

It’s manually operated because there is an escape window at this location.
