New DSDP, water pump upgrade

Tried to go back in the threads to find info on upgrading the water pump to the aquajet for better water pressure, especially in the shower.

I would be interested in the opinions of those that have gone this way before. Basically is there any advantage or disadvantage on a higher gpm water pump or is the stock pump good enough.

Thanks

Jim

Jim,

I upgraded the standard Remco Aquajet water pump to the high volume SHURFLO 4048, as a "special" on my upcoming MADP build. This is the water pump model Newmar installs in the Essex and King Aire.

Just to give you another data point. We have a 2015 Ventana 4037 with the standard water pump. The shower is the best shower we've had in a MH, ever. Plenty of pressure using the water pump.

We've had the MH for over two months and this weekend was the first time we've had water hookups - been using the pump until now.

I upgraded the water pump on my 2015 DS4018 to the Shurflow 4048 and I also upgraded the faucet in the back bath. I have to be REALLY careful when I first turn on the faucet since it turns into a water cannon instead of a waterfall. In other words, the water shoots straight out. After the initial air is pushed out, then it behaves the way it's supposed to.
