Firstly, congratulations on the upgrade.

My wife and I are taking delivery of a 2016 Ventana LE 4002 in a couple of weeks. We love the floor plan and its sleeping capacity.

I can't talk to the extended warranties, but we are having a W/D installed in ours. Doing research, I can tell you that the washer uses about 4 gallons of water per cubic foot per use. Meaning, probably not good to run multiple loads while boondocking.

TOAD is just the spelling of a word that has the same sounds as TOWED.

I never purchase extended warranty......
When you pick up your new rig......don't settle for an hour or two PDI...
Run everything yourself.....
Go for extended drive...
Camp for a few days....
Go back to the dealer and have them fix all the little things....
Best of luck
Congratulations

Wife loves the W/D.........saves from having to unload and load all bed linens and towels after each trip.........and does clothes we do unload.......we only use the W/D when in full hook-up sites.

Extended warranty - you will get lots of thoughts and advice........with the age of our coach - although it does have very low miles (15K) as I write - I like the security an extended warranty brings. For the past year I have had Good Sam, never had to use them but after shopping a little and reading iRV2, I believe I will move over to Wholesale Warrantys - same coverage as GS but cheaper and they get great reviews....

Only my thoughts..........good luck on your new rig........

Hi mpm2433,
Congrats on the new coach. The short answer on your questions is:
1. W/D = yes
2. Coatings = no
3. Extended Warranty (really a service contract) = yes
4. Roadside assistance = yes (Coach Net)
I could go into details about 37 years of experience that lead me to these answers, but you'll get bits and pieces of the same stories in those posting to this tread.

I'll go along with GaryKD. and add some info.

If the price of the extended warranty , makes you gums bleed and hair fall out. Try beating the dealer down on the price, they do have room to move, because they get a kick back for selling it.
RV dealer came back three times with a lower price when I was buying.
If the warranty on the engine transmission isn't transferable , you will want coverage there at the very least.

EDIT: I still didn't purchase the plan; would have added 20% to the price; took the gamble , and in 5 years I haven't spent ; on repairs ; what the plan cost. Just lucky I guess.

Price is definitely a factor. When we bought our gently used 2014 last week, price of extended warranty only increased our cost 3% and DH said for that amount he would take it.

Father in law was an actuary. Said most people are over insured.

We do not buy extended warranties. If you check the exclusions many of the systems are not covered. They are not like the manufacturers warranty.
