We ended up purchasing the 7 year extended warranty at a 50% discount, but still was expensive. Hopefully it was a wise decision. I really don't know it most people buy the warranty or not. What do you think?

Welcome!!
We also purchased our Newmar there last July.
They heavily pressured us towards buying an extended warranty for $8000.
We said no but they brought in a "closing specialist" who pressured us even more really turning off the DW.
In the end when we picked up the coach they offered to reduce it to $6000 for "one day only".
We declined.

We are extremely happy with our Newmar and are impressed by it's build quality.
They build a fine coach.

I often go for the extended warranty on cars and especially RV's. But do not bite on the first offer. They make big bucks on these and the longer you hold out, the cheaper they get. I paid about 1/2 of what they started with for a 5 year one. They would like to make 100% markup but would rather make 20% than 0%.

New Motorhome

Thanks to all those who responded to my first message. We did not order our Bay Star it was a 2014 left over with 880 miles. I don't think it had many test drives. After reading some entries in irv2, I am a little concerned about the full wall slide (FWS). I hope it won't be a problem. I'm thinking the best way is to use the jacks first then open the slide. Buying the unit from RV Albany is a 4 hour drive for us. Right now the weather is not so good. Hope Jan, 14 is better for our pick-up and walk thru demo.

Paul, there is no problem using the FWS if you read this thread will have the proper way to open and level a coach with regular slides or FWS's.
We have many people using FWS's with out problems in 43'; coach's which are a lot larger than the FWS in a Bay Star.
If your new coach does not have a FWS than you will level first than extend your slides which most of us have been doing for years its the same slide system since Newmar developed the slide systems.
Good luck with your PDI and MAKE SURE YOUR DEALER COVERS EVERYTHING TO YOUR UNDERSTANDING.
