Engineered wood can be a good choice depending. Trips to the beach with the grandkids can result in floor marking, if your not careful with housekeeping.

Google RV floors, Ernie Weatherford, Tx, Ernie has been replacing floors in RVs for many years and does great work. We installed engineered wood in our 2001 DS in about 2013 and love it. It does show a few scratches. We are careful to clean the slide rollers before retracting the slide and overall floor housekeeping.
