Congrats on your MH and welcome. Be sure to check out the NEWMAR section under "owners forums". We picked up our 2005 DSDP in December and the members have helped me out with several minor issues.

Welcome to the Newmar family and I hope you love and enjoy yours as much as we do. Good luck and keep us posted as you travel around the country.

Ramets - When I get coach home I'll have a Sparten shop check chassis. With 17K miles not much to look at except leaks, etc. What do you tow? Brakes? Hitch? Thanks. Ed

You really don't have to have a Spartan shop check the ball joints, any diesel shop should be able to tell you if they need replacing. I'll bet they do, problem is they can't just replace the boots. They have to do the ball joints and not all diesel shops are equipped to handle such a job. It's about a $2,000 fix but well worth it because I believe we both have a great coach. By the way we tow a 2009 Saturn Vue with a blue ox base plate and a Ready Brute tow bar with the inertial braking system. There's all kinds of towing arrangements, shop around and get the one you're most comfortable with.
