Can anyone tell me whats causing my DP Mountain Aire (1996) not to start? Last month it started fine. This month I put the key in, turned it and waited for the yellow light to come on and nothing happened. No sound or sign of life, just dead silence. Next, I hit the switch labled "Battery Booster". There was a ticking noise like it was trying to start, yellow light went on momentarily; then silence once again. Next, I checked the console above the passenger seat that gives you the status of the batteries, etc. I hit the button to check the batteries and and from left to right it was red- lighted. I guess that means all the batteries are dead or does it? They were o.k. last month. I keep it plugged into shore power so that should have kept them charged unless I'm missing something. Any advice will be appreciated.

With the age of your coach it maybe a good time to check your grounds from batteries, engine and Gen to frame of chassis. I would clean them off and use new bolts with star washers and die-electric grease for new terminations.
Your indicator says your house batts are ok check your engine batteries with a meter.
Not knowing their age could have a problem with dead cell in one of them.
Also have the plus side terminals checked also.
The 12v side of life may help also.

Consider starting at the beginning and making sure all the batteries are good. If they are flooded batteries (you need to add water) consider purchasing a hydrometer and checking each cell about 2 hours after the batteries have been charged and disconnected from the charging source.

If the batteries are maintenance free, consider taking them to your local automotive parts store. They have a machine that can check them.

Next are all the connections and wires mentioned by 007. No matter what happens with the batteries, do what 007 posted.
