New problem I don't understand

Yesterday I was visiting my son in South Carolina on our return trip to Indiana from Florida and had our 2010 Baystar plugged into a 30 amp circuit he installed for us. Everything was working great including the ac, microwave, tv's etc. Then later in the afternoon I noticed the TV power was off as well as all the power to the components in the tv cabinet above the drivers seat. While the power was out to these devices the air conditioner was running and all other appliances seemed to be working as normal. No breaker was popped but I reset all of them anyway. No 12 volt fuses were blown which I would think would not be related but I thought I would check them anyhow. I ended up starting up the generator and the tv had power again. Even after I shut the generator off the tv power stayed on. This led me to believe it must be something in the transfer switch but I am not very knowledgeable about how this works so I'm not sure. Anybody else have any ideas as to what may have caused me to lose power only to the front tv cabinet? I called Newmar and the tech I spoke to had no idea either.

The transfer switch is on or off so I don’t think it’s that, the tv and AV probably works off an inverter, maybe the inverter needed to be reset?

That would be my first thought as well. Have you checked your inverter settings? As Stuart suggests, the fact that the TV stayed on after running the generator may be an indication that it was somehow reset.

Unplug your power coard from that outlet.

Did your son install the 30A circuit himself? If so, is he a qualified electrician with experience wiring RV circuits? No offense meant to your son, but if he's not a qualified electrician, I would unplug as 007 suggests and have the circuit checked by a qualified electrician. 30A RV circuits are frequently miswired by inexperienced installers.

Look down on the side of the inverter and their may be two circuit breakers and one may be popped

After reading your post again was wondering if you had a serge protector for your power cord?
When power for a RV is not correctly wired you can lose all electric appliances, they can be completely blown and replacements would be needed.
You seem to be home now is everything working OK, all you need at your house would be 110 outlet to keep all your batteries charged off your converter.

Any chance someone turned on the ignition switch. Most of these units have a relay that shuts off the TV and associated equipment if the ignition is in the on position even if the engine is not running.

If that 30A circuit was mis-wired damage would have occurred WHEN you plugged in.
That is NOT the issue

Inverter circuit is most likely culprit

What Old-Biscuit said !!!.

Folks need to read the post, think about it, read it again before sending off an answer.

The OP said " everything was working great ". That's not a mis-wired outlet.

The key being switched on, shutting down the TV center, sounds plausible.

I stayed at his house on my way down to Florida last fall and had no power issues. After starting and stopping the generator I had no other issues for the next day or so while I was still at his house. I am at an rv park now in Kentucky and still have not had the issue with the front tv or anything else. Oh well may never know what caused the temporary outage of the front tv power but hope it doesn't do it again.

I hear you, one other thing I will than add you should check your transfer switch for this recall any loose wiring can be the start of a bigger problem.

if this is a 120v TV, then the circuit it is on could have a loose wire behind the breaker, making contact most of the time, but under certain circumstances, will lose it's connection, even though the breaker is not tripped.

many times the factory tightens wiring to breakers before they've ever had any load, or heat, applied. Once loads start, the wiring can expand and contract enough that the original torque was not enough, and the wire can 'move' out the back of the breaker since they are typically 'push in' type wires, with a tightening screw.
