New to me 07 Essex
Hello all. I've been around the board for a few years owning a 2002 Country Coach Allure with 168K miles and have now upgraded to a 2007 Essex 4502 from North Trail RV. We couldn't be happier with the coach and with North Trail. I'm sure I'll have lots of questions but after reading the manuals I'm still a bit confused on how to turn on the Auto Generator feature. I see it on the screen and it's set to 12 amps, which seems about right, but I can't get the feature to say on. Is there a special sequence to go through or do the amps have to be at a certain level to turn on this feature? I look forward to hearing your thoughts and am sure I'll have more questions down the road.

First off welcome to the group! Are you setting the AGS on the ePlex panel? If so are you also seeing "Quiet Time"?

The AGS comes on for 2 reasons the house batteries are below 12 volts, or the ac/heat pumps need power. Set the thermostats and then turn on the AGS and then forget about it. On the front panel you can set up a quiet time if desired that will prevent the generator from starting.

Thanks guys/gals. I appreciate the information. Basically the system/auto gen is on by default and when the volts are set to 12 amps the system will turn on the gen to get the batteries charged outside of the quiet time? So far we are loving this coach. A big difference from the country coach for sure.
