New to Newmar

My wife and I are new members of the Newmar club. This afternoon, we paid our money and bought a 2005 Mountain Aire 3504 gas coach. We weren't looking to buy, but after I saw it and convinced my wife to take a look, we both decided it was too nice a coach for the money to not pull the trigger.

We were thinking to wait another year or so and buy an older diesel pusher, but aside from a few minor things here and there, this coach looked almost new inside and out. It needs a few minor things fixed, but the engine purred like a kitten. Can't wait until we get the tow package installed and the minor fixes taken care of and can start to put this thing through its paces.

Hopefully, I have figured out how to post images. If so, you should be able to see a handful of images here: WaltH Gallery - iRV2.com RV Photo Gallery

The brochure we had, but thanks for the Owners Guide. I'll check out some of the links as I know we will be changing out the TVs in the not too distant future.

Congrats!! I know you must be very excited. I know I would be. Nice looking coach and in great shape. We will be part of the family later this year when our Ventana is built.

Thanks, everyone! We're having a few maintenance things taken care. (Later, we'll need to swap out the TVs and the VCR/DVD/stereo, so if you have suggestions, I'm all ears.) We'll do a shakedown night here in town, then we have a couple of trips to Oregon planned, including one to Astoria and Fort Stevens Stae Park that will also include a family reunion. Looking forward to getting her out on the road.

I recently jerked out the two CRT televisions from our 2001 Newmar. There are some posted pics and stories of people doing that to their motorhomes here on the site. Look lots before you do it, there are some great ideas out there!

congrats on the new coach !!!! my wife and I had a similar experience a few months back ...it was one of those deals !!! hope you enjoy yours as much as we have ours already... one thing we did was set it up and use it at home to test everything ...it helped identifiy a couple small issues and saved us some headaches ...if you can do it I would recommend it before the first long run... Enjoy !!!
