New to Newmar

Purchasing a 2017 Ventana LE 4037. I noticed that one of compartments has a peg board. If it is to hang tools on with a peg board clip do the tools stay on or do they fall off? What are others using this space for?

What fuel mileage is obtain? Is there away to boost power on the ISB engine or is the 360 HP ok?

Any other input as to the coach would be welcome.

We have a 2018 Ventana LE 3709. We use the pegboard area for hanging outdoor cooking gear and bike helmets—so far everything has stayed put. We have 340 HP and have been getting about 11 mpg.

When we bought our first Newmar motorhome with the pegboard compartment, the salesman expounded on it saying "in here, you can hang all your tools...and pick them up off the floor of the compartment after each trip."

Nuff said.

Oh, as for the fuel mileage, it depends a lot on your driving habits and the terrain you travel in. Expect 7-9 mpg. The 360 HP will be adequate, though you probably won't win any drag races. We had a VTLE with 340 HP and traveled all over the mountain west. On really nasty grades, we would get down to 40-45 mph; better than heavy trucks.
