Could you supply us with some links for your system? I have a two cannister system that has a 1 micron filter then a .5 micron. Get great water, but really, really slow. I have to fill the tank and use the pump to get decent presure for showers, etc. I have a watts regulator, but put it at the source. Is that the wrong place? BTW, our problem is iron from our son's well water. It clogs up the 1 micron filter in a month or less.

I placed my Watts regulator after the two 1 micron filters that I use. I have no problem with the volume of water flowing as long as the filter is good. As it clogs up the flow starts to wane. But thats the filters job, so I keep a supply of sediment filters on board.

We were in one camp that iron clogged our filter in 3 days! Was glade to leave that place.

Perhaps you might want to try a 1 micron filter in place of the .5 micron filter to see if there is a difference.

I just got from the RV Water store the high flow Watts 55 regulator and a 1 and 5 micron filter to try out, along with their shower head to try to get better flow. Does it make a difference in house water flow if the regulator is at the source or after the filter?

Here is my final filter configuration:

1. 5 micron sediment filter before the water softener.
2. Water softener
3. .5 micron filter - whole coach
4. .5 micron filters under the counter (Whirlpool system) and a 2nd .5 micron filter for the refer.

I added the .5 micron filters for the sink and refer since we often use water directly from the holding tank. The undercounter water filters use the quick disconnect fitting, which I hope will not be an issue.
