Inverter Update

After reading the Magnum Remote manual, I decided to test the inverter and fridge. I keep the rig plugged in to shore power while in storage to keep the fridge cold.

Today, I checked the Magnum Remote readout which read "fully charged". I then pushed the inverter button to see if it was turned on and got a blinking green LED. I then switched off the shore power, and opened the fridge door to see if the light was on and it was. The Magnum Remote readout read "Inverting" with 3 amp draw. When the fridge cycled on, the amp draw changed to 21 amps, and then cycled down to 18 amps. I also noticed that the digital clock on the microwave was displayed with shore power off and the inverter "inverting". Yea!

Tested again by plugging in shore power and readout read "bulk charging" and then "absorb charging". Waited a few minutes and disconnected shore power and Remote readout read "Inverting....". So it appears that the inverter had been turned off; probably while the fridge mod was done, and then was never turned back on.

Whew!!
Thank you all for your responses. I appreciate all the "it could be this" ideas.

I need to decide if I want to rewire it through the inverter. 1500 watts of 120 is a big draw on a 12 Volt battery bank.
Truly none of my business, but isn't powering your induction cook top while boondocking what your generator is for? IMHO, connecting your induction cook top to your inverter is unnecessary.

I appreciate your input. Your experience is valuable.
