Newby Newmar Owner

We purchased a 2016 Canyon Star 3710 tonight and we're kind of in shock. See, we've been looking at the bath and a half, L-shapped sofa gas Class A field for about 6 months now. The CS 3710 was always on our list, but truth is we never could see one.

Our plan was to buy a new 2017 or 2018 RV. We would not even look at a used coach.

We had 6 RVs on our list and the Canyon Star is the only one we had not seen. Everywhere we shopped they were in short supply or non-existent.

Then about 2 miles from my house yesterday I passed a Storage Facility that had a Newmar sitting by the fence facing a highway and what's that(?) a For Sale sign in the windshield? After calling the owner I found it to be a 2016 CS 3710 the exact Newmar model we'd wanted to check out.

It turned out to have tons of upgrades, only 6,500 miles on the clock and look newer than new at a really good price. Kismet. What else could it be? A quick deal was struck and boom, just like that, we went from hoping to SEE a Canyon Star 3710 to owning one.

We we thinking a Bounder 35K, or a Tffin 36LA, and had more or less settled on a new Winnebago Adventurer 37F. In fact, we were planning on driving up to Albuquerque next week to finalize the deal on a Winnie. And to our great surprise we're now in the Newmar family. As I said, we're kind of in shock.

Welcome to the Newmar family. The Canyon Star is a wonderful coach and Newmar is a great manufacturer. Like you, a lot of us did our research and purchased Newmar. We've had our Newmar for 23 months now and are so very happy with this purchase.

Many happy memories, yet to be made, are in your future.

Congrats on the Newmar.
Our search for a small DP has some similarites...stroke of luck brought us to our new to us '13 Ventana 3433.
Don't want to alarm you but worth reading the post re electric slide motor bolts and checking them. Caught early fix is minor...if not caught consequence$ can be more of an issue.

Congratulations. We too had done research and decided that we couldn't go wrong with a Newmar and found the Canyon Star. We looked at many floor plans over the years of kicking tires and knew what would and would not work for us. The 3710 had the least number of compromises of any other Vanyon Star.

For us, a direct view to the tv was paramount. I think the accent wall tv layout looks really impressive until you have to live with it so that's one thing amongst many that we love about our 3710.

Some floor plans require you to swivel the two front seats where you just spent hours driving to watch tv...I don't get that...

Another wonderful thing about the 3710 is that my husband can go to the bathroom at night from his side of the bed without worrying about bumping into anything as can I.

Small details but in daily use make a difference.

After we get everything moved from our Forester Class C we'll take a few shorter "get acquainted" trips nearby. We live in South Texas so it's not really RV friendly in July and August. We'll spend the time getting it setup as we want.

Immediately after Labor Day we head to New Mexico and Durango Colorado for the month. We were already planning that trip and made reservations 6-months ago. We also spend January in Tucson each year.

Looking forward to the Class A spaciousness-but our now for sale Class C was 31' with a full wall slide. So it's not a massive change.

Congratulations, we were shopping Bay Star for a year but kept coming back to the Canyon Star because of the amenities, available options, 26k chassis, etc. etc. We ordered and took deliver of our CS 3513 late May and after 2000 miles and many nights out we couldn't be any more pleased. I'm sure you guys will find as we did Newmar and CS is a great choice. Enjoy and safe travels.
