I just saw the new Mtn Aire. The base price did jump almost $70K!!!! The larger engine, the new steering, and other high priced changes kicked it up there. I'm glad I got this years model. It suites us fine. We really like the '06 MADP 4303 we have.

I would imagine all RV makers will jump their prices by 15 to 20 percent. Some even more.

Thank goodness I'm out of the market for one for some time!!!

Roger,I know the 2007 MADP price was raised to be a little closer to the Essex....What are the changes in standard equipment on the 2007 MADP to justify the increased MSRP?

Roger, what I was trying to find out was the "obvious" differences between the 2006 and the 2007 MADP's that justify the price increase....

I was also hoping to hear from someone that knew off the top of their head without me having to go to Newmar's web pages and try to do it line by line....I was trying to get a quick answer without a laborous search endeavor on my part through the two year's standard sheets...

As my buddy is now looking at 2007 MADP's as an alternative,I was trying to quickly answer a question he had asked me.

Well first off the '07 MADP is about 35% heavier GVW on a K-2 chassis. That equates to a heavier front axle rating, heavier frame, bigger tires, bigger brakes, disc brake up front, 21.3% bigger engine displacement, a 4000 series Allison, one piece windshield, more standard that were options, higher ceilings, new front end and rear cap are some of what the bigger bucks get.
Is it worth it? Oh, yes if you want to move up, it certainly looks like it is.

Thanks Peter....

My poor buddy has been out through the ringer,he had his eyes on an '04 Essex that was sold out from under him,now the people can't get a loan, then when the Essex was sold he picked out a consignment coach the people reneged on...Now he's thinking of just ordering a darn '07....

Some times thats the best way than he can get the coach of his dreams and know the value of the options he will pick out. He will have a wide range of standards but the options will just dazel him.

Its the waiting he will have to put up with.
