Hi Everyone! As per Ken Williamson today; Since Newmar introduced the 2012 Essex & King Aire 2 weeks ago, they have 11 2012 King Aire's sold, and 6 2012 Essex sold, all currently on order. Congrats to Newmar for a job well done!! They also have quite a few more orders that they have not finished working on. I did not get numbers on the rest of their products. They are still at 3 a day. Paul

Hi Paul,
Thanks for the post. It is good to see that the high end coaches are selling.

And if your at the factory run in and see if they have a new Essex with light colored cabinets and the full slide and see who it's going to. Please? I've only seen the ones with the dark shinny cabinets. I would have had one but my other half don't like the dark inside.

Hi Perry White,
Newmar builds only coaches that are sold. They build to order. The order could be for a dealer or for a retail customer. Based on what was sold at the Tampa Super Show and FMCA in Perry, the high end Newmar coaches are off to blazing start this year.

When I was at the factory in November they had two Essex's that they were just finishing up. One was going to Florida and the other was going out to Lee's in Okla. Neither was sold. I imagine they are gone now. They were 2011's.

Perry White: as posted above, Newmar only builds coaches they have "sold" either to a retail consumer or to a dealer for his inventory. Unlike some builders, they don't build "spec" coaches and park them in a holding yard until some dealer agrees to take it "as built". Most believe this keeps Newmar from having huge sums tied up in unsold inventory, which was one of several factors that led to Monaco Coach Corp. having to declare bankruptcy.

jetsmania: Paul, in your OP you said "still at 3 per day". Surely that is not total production, is it? Did you mean 3/day of just "highline" brands? Please clarify, thanks. Ed

They were at 3 per day total when I was there last April.
