Okay, all you wise one's. New to your forum and have almost convinced myself (and my wonderful wife of 20 years) on the purchase of a new '07 All Star Cycle Hauler. I haven't been able to come up with any negatives yet. Reviewed this site and couldn't find any here either. I have many Harley's and American Made V-Twins which makes the Cycle Hauler the best choice. Any of you good folks have any thoughts, positive or negative?

Thanks in advance for any replies...

Jtrjr, Welcome to the forum. The All star is a great looking coach.
Bob, How many slides does that thing have?

Peter, the 39 and 41 floorplans only have a dinette/couch slideout on the off door side in the living area.
The 4253 has a 60x80 bed that slides out in addition to the dinette/couch slideout.

Hi Jtrjr,
Welcome to iRV2. I purchased my signature coach before the AllStar 4154 was available. If it had been available I would have purchased the AllStar.

The only advice I can give you is to consider purchasing a 2008 model. The 2008's have Comfort Drive as a standard feature. This feature, all by itself, is worth whatever extra effort is required to buy the 2008.

Gary,

Thanks for the reply. What's the deal with "comfort drive"? I'm going to get a really good deal on this particular model, I'm not sure the price difference will be worth it. But, then again, you never know...

Everyone with Comfort Drive says they would never be without it.

<BLOCKQUOTE class="ip-ubbcode-quote"><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-title">quote:</div><div class="ip-ubbcode-quote-content"> Comfort Drive Steering is an intelligent steering system (developed by TRW) that decreases driver fatigue often associated with operating a typical diesel motorhome over long distances. It also aids a driver to maintain a straight path by compensating for cross-winds and crowns in the road. Comfort Drive creates a positive on-center feel which reduces parking efforts and improves reversibility when backing up a motorhome. Newmar Corporation has a two-year exclusive on this innovative technology with TRW and Spartan® Chassis, Inc. through the end of the 2008 model year. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>

I too purchased my signature coach about six months before the cycle hauler was available. If I was buying now I would definitely get it. I saw it in Perry, GA at the FMCA rally and it was really nice. The interior was more sport oriented but they said the Dutch Star interior is also available.

Thanks Wayne. A Harley enthusiast as well, can't beat that! That's the only reason I'm looking at this unit. Ridin' in the rain was cool, way back when, too old now. Maybe it's time to drive to the better weather then ride my @ss off!

I am having a great time, but I sure do wish my 2007 DSDP had Comfort Drive.
