Back in the fall of last year we had some discussion about Newmar using the Freightliner chassis for some of their low end models.
This link to the review by DriVer gives us a incite into the chassis's produced by Freightliner for RV industry for 2011 & 12.
Has anyone this past year purchased a motor home on the Freightliner chassis this year and are you satisfied with it and service for the chassis?

can not really compare my freightliner chassis to others as this is the first Class A we have owned.
however
freightliners customer service has been super and so has cummins.
there was a ecm reflash update and they were johnny on the spot about getting done with little interruption of us.
we have had zero chassis issues in our just under two years of use.
so far everything except the air filter is a piece of cake to get to.
it tracks good, had a little minor sloppy steering but a quick turn of a wrench fixed that.
i do most of my servicing, like greasing of said chassis.
oil changes and the like i let my local ford dealer do.
took a few trips to get air pressure in the tires where we wanted for ride and stability, but thats any chassis.
we are happy.

Nice looking coach you have there powerboatr.
I started a sticky down in Freightliner forum if you could, can you post your Service Center on a post for a starter.
Checked for some in N.E. none close to home, thats a problem for Newmar dealers also.

Dave's RV in Danburry, CT is a Newmar dealer. They are a small, family run operation. They do nice work there. I stop there on my way from California to visit family in Maine just to chat, get any needed repairs taken care of, and enjoy the cookout they have weekly. You can speak to Dave SR - sales, Dave Jr - service, or Derek in the parts department. Don't know of another Newmar sales/service center in the NE. But I haven't really needed to find one.

Thanks for that Tom, Dave's RV is on the top of our Newmar Dealers List in sticky just above us.
He is the only Newmar dealer left in N.E.
Does he service the Freightliner chassis?

That I don't know. I've only had my MADP for 7 months. I bought it from a private owner just outside Danburry, CT and took it immediately to Dave's. They checked it over and fixed some minor issues. Then about 3 months ago they replaced the driver side windshield which had caught a large stone and cracked.
Give them a call and ask for Dave JR. He heads the service department. They are very nice people.
