Newmar battery drain

i have a 2009 newmar grandstar gas that just developed a severe battery drain even after i activate the battery disconnect switch.....the 2 interstate batteries are just 4 years old....... the engine battery is fine and stays fully charged. i have even disconnected the electric stairs that is not controlled by the battery switch and still have the drain...... i took the cables off the coach batteries and they hold for days at 12.7 volts but if i go to hook them i get a pretty good spark as they make connection. any ideas please.

Go to YouTube and search: How to Perform a Parasitic Draw Test. This should find your problem. Keep us posted on results.

Sometimes the coach inverter is wired independent of the battery disconnect , and has to be shut off too.

Have you turned off the propane leak detector?

The propane leak detector draws enough power to drain your house batteries if left for an extended period of time. Its switch, labeled "LP", is found in the same cabinet power management controls and battery disconnect (salesman switch).

I turn my PL switch off whenever my coach is unused for a week or more.
