I have a 2009 Newmar Dutch Aire with Comfort Drive. It was fine for 70K miles, then one trip broke down on highway and had to call a mobile service. He connected a Scanner to the under dash plugged, the vehicle key was off. He turned key on (no started) the steering wheel jumped big time.. and hasn't worked since. I got the Manual from Spartan (TRW Commercial Steering Systems # CDV-101.. Took vehicle to a very good truck shop, they checked all the voltage check point inputs etc. Everything is there.. Tried the wake up procedures etc.. Nothing seems to bring it back.. Anyone had any experiences with this sort of an issue..

They have had scanners randomly turn the CD off but nobody can reproduce it. If that was the problem, it is an easy fix. The place to start is the diagnostic program. A description is available for it in the guided tour at:
