Newmar Corp. Comes Through

As stated in previous post when I contacted local dealer, they stated no service since I did not purchase unit from them.
I contacted Newmar service about minor issues and they 3-wayed called to local dealer and to my amazement they are willing to work on my minor issues.
Kudos to Newmar for customer support!

That's great that Newmar CS was able to broker service repair for you. Thanks for the update.

When we needed work on our '02 DSDP we asked Newmar to let us take it to a local dealer since the Newmar ones were over 100 miles away, one North and one South of us. Worked out fine too.

I hope it all works out well for you but I personally would not want work to be done on my coach by a dealer who does not want my business. You might ask Newmar if there are any other alternatives available such as using an independent repair shop that is more motivated to do a good job.

I was in contact with WBGO over a minor issue of a loose cabinet. CS was willing to have a mobile tech come in and fix it but stated they would not warranty the fix. If on the other hand we took it to a WBGO dealer they would continue the warranty on the fix.

Took it to a WBGO dealer and no more work required for the cabinet.

CS suggested I take my coach to a Newmar Service Center for warranty work as it was only 50 miles away. This center is not a Newmar dealer and they said they could not do warranty work on Newmar's as it conflicts with their other maker's contracts. I called my nearest Newmar dealer (200 miles away) and they were happy to work on my issues even though I did not buy from them. It beats traveling 1000 miles to the dealer I bought it from.

Yes, This does have me on high alert. I will not leave the dealership until everything is checked out, all they are doing is replacing led puck lights and metal clips on rear engine grille. My wife had the same concern, she has me worried about them rushing and puncturing hole in ceiling material while using cordless drill. I replaced the half bath today but took my time. I almost feel like asking Newmar if I can change them myself, slowly as they go out. But I know they want the old 57 shipped back so they can get credit from manufacturer of original lights..
I am using tapatalk so forgive my verbage.
