I would like to echo the positive comments regarding this RV Dealer. We purchased a used DS from them before they were a Newmar dealer and had extremely good service followed-up on several occasions. Have never heard any negative info, but have heard many good stories. This is just this one location and not necessarily other company sites.

Looks like Lee's may have done away the "build your own Newmar"
Lee has posted on Newmarowners that since they fired up the new web site, they have a few features to fix and the "build your Newmar" will be back on the site.

Hi everyone! Thanks for the private emails asking where I've been on
the forum. I've been out of commission pretty much since December 6,
when it appears that a disc ruptured in my neck. Not sure why, as it
began while I was sitting in church. After trying epidural steroid
injections, I finally decided to have surgery on Jan. 14. I had some
complications and had to be rushed back to hospital and spend a few
more days, but I'm nearly back to normal. I hope to be weaned off the
pain meds by the end of the month.

I've had several inquiries about our new website that we launched last
week. I think it will be easier to navigate and be more informational
when we get fully loaded. It will be easier for us to change
specials, pictures, news, etc.

Unfortunately, making the change is becoming more difficult than what
I thought. It's a huge undertaking now that will take a little time.
Only 1 picture for each unit could be transferred and copying and
pasting is time consuming. Also, the "Build Your Dream RV" did not
transfer over, but we'll have a new unit configurator on the site
soon. I hope you'll like it better than the old.

In the meantime, I would would be glad to email anyone Newmar order
forms. Just email me offline.

I think most of the dealers that are mentioned are down south or out west. Not very close to the Northern part of the country. We have bought two Newmars from Wilkins RV in New York and have had good luck both times. I feel as though we recieved a good deal and they did any warrenty work we needed or had the parts sent to us directly for us to repair. Might want to add them to the list in case anyone is ever in that area.

Here's the link to Ballards in Hamburg, NY. He will also work with you on custom orders. I drove 1200 miles to take advantage of his low prices.

Because of slow-down this model year, we probably won't get any info on the 2010's until much later than normal. I suspect we'll get some info in May and may be able to get some on our lots by July or August at the earliest.

It won't do Newmar much good to do an earlier introduction as long as there are lots of 08's and 09's, and in some cases 07's on dealer's lots. It takes more than just consumer special orders to keep production up. They need dealers to replenish their lots. That won't happen until the wholesale credit markets open up for the dealers.

There are few options left for dealers in this credit environment. Only 3 national sources remain and they severely limit access to inventory financing even if you have a credit line with them. Retail RV financing is 100 times easier than dealer inventory financing.

Until this changes, ALL manufacturers will suffer and some more won't make it. Newmar is better positioned as they only build stock units that are sold to either a retail customer or a dealer. The $20 billion allocated from TALF/TARP to the RV financing, both wholesale and retail should be a big boost. But when will it happen? 3 or 4 weeks or 3 or 4 months? We all know how fast things trickle down from government programs.

Right now there's no doubt we're in the greatest RV buyer's market EVER. It will only last a short time after the wholesale credit markets become unthawed, IMO. The stimulus bill just signed should be the beginning. The buys we're getting on repossessed inventory will most likely never be approached again in our lifetime. Right now we're seeing a lot of customers who've been sitting on the sidelines are now pulling the trigger.

Read his profile on his RV site he was game to start up in not so good times as now, to start up his business. Good family man also.
Maybe will have to see if interested in a sponsorship on irv2.
