Did you know that Newmar has a blog on their Corp. website? Here's the link:

http://www.newmarcorp.com/blog/

If this has been mentioned somewhere else, I missed it. The reason I bring it up now is they've posted a pretty detailed description of the Norcold fridge problems and the steps Norcold is taking to fix it.

Newmar is also on FB. They are kind of off to a slow start, but they're hanging in there. If you are on FB, you might want to check out their page and "follow" them if you are so inclined. I'm sure they would appreciate the support.

Hope a Newmar rig finds its way into your family! We're on our third, and have accumulated over 150,000 on the three of them! We've got a great owners' group, the Newmar Kountry Klub, whch is also on IRV2.

Renden, they are two different recalls Dometic does not seem to have as big a problem as Norcold.
They use to have a larger cut of the market at one time.

Well, that's a great start. If Newmar is reading this, I would sure like to get your take on the Norcold 1200 situation.

This is a real mess and we should not be in a situation of having to buy an alternate (Amish Cooling Unit) cooling unit for, in our case, a unit that is only 1 year and 4 months old.
