Just got this 2005 Dutch Star, and the cruise worked for about 200 miles, then I canceled because of city driving, and tried to turn it back on once I was on the hwy, but the light didn't come on or the cruise. Can not find andy fuse for it. Help Please Thanks for this Forum and any and all assistance, nickdsdp05

Hi nickdsdp05,
Welcome to iRV2. Is your coach gas or diesel powered?
On a diesel I can tell you where it is not. I just went out and checked my coach. I can tell you the fuse is not in the front left basement bay with all the other chassis fuses. At least it is not labeled as cruise control. It is also not in the electrical bay behind the black panel with the rest of the chassis fuses.
When it is found, please post here for the rest of us.

Welcome nickdsdp05 to the Newmar forum & irv2.
I would say he has a 40' DP Gary.
If it was a Workhorse it could be in a switch that is operated closed by the brake pedal and can be adjusted not sure DP has the same CC control switch.

Thanks, I do have a 40' DP, and still figured it out. There is a thing on the drivers side front floor that has a twist cap { about one inch} and a switch, but I think that might have something to do with the ABS? Thanks again.

I had the same problem. I called Spartan and there is not Cruise Control fuse, it is on the same fuse as your instruments, so if they are working it is not a fuse problem. If you PM me your email, I will send you the troubleshooting information that Spartan sent me. I have not had a chance to go through the troubleshooting sequence, but as it turns out I have a chassis service scheduled for Thursday, so will try to get the issue solved then.

Nick here is a thread about CC with links not sure it will help you but give it a try.
Mike if you could post the instructions from Spartan would appreciate it and I'll add to QT's.

Why don't you upload it on the files tab of the website so others can use as well?

4Knights,
Thanks, I didn't know about the file tab. I have uploaded to the Electrical section.

querry about cruise control, If you start up and warm up engine, push cruise on, then set, and engine goes to a higher idle, then push cruise off and engine goes to normal idle, Does that mean cruise is working , or just a feature , and cruise may not work on highway? I still am puzzled. l Thank you.

If the fast idle engages from cruise select it would indicate power to the cruise. You may have a brake light issue or speedometer issue. If the cruise doesn't see a high enough speed it will not engage. Likewise if your exhaust brake activates your brake lights might be an issue.
