Newmar CS Rick saves the day

Heading north on Monday following several months here in FL. Had appt this am at Ford for some chassis service. Spent yesterday getting ready to roll. this am started last minute prep for travel and the pax side slide wouldn't come in more than a few inches. I was trying everything I could figure out. Made one call to Newmar and was told to use an impact gun battery to over ride the motor. That was above my pay grade. Tried a few other things and thought maybe something rolled under and is wedged against the roller and stopping it. Called Newmar again and Rick in CS said get a small needle nose or tweezers and go to the control box (it had taken me a better part of an hour to finally find the control box--I had found two next to each other and one was the bedroom slide and the other was the driver side slide. They even had stickers on them saying that, There was another control next to them but it was unmarked and totally different--it turned out to be the right control box). Rick walked me through the reset procedure and I got the slide back in.
I owe Rick lunch on my next stop by Newmar--he was so great about it all. Even hanging out on the phone as I went to find a smaller tweezers.

My first year I had two "emergency" telephone calls to them, one was on a weekend. I received expert advise which got me on my way. Their CS is unmatched IMHO.

Glad it worked out for you.

I called the after hours line when my Oasis wasn't working. Six weeks later I am still waiting for a call back.[emoji848]

No calls or emails for me...

Almost two weeks - 3 phone calls and 3 emails unanswered for what I am assuming will be a very simple question. I'm trying to buy, and am not feeling very confident right now. I'm glad someone is getting help.

Don't know what to tell you, I have called them in the past with problems I didn't understand (why my chassis battery wasn't charging when hooked to shore power) and got expert advice over the phone and a how t test it emailed out to me. Also, the parts department has been fantastic--I ordered a sky light replacement a couple months ago and it was shipped to me (no shipping charge) and two day. I love this guys! I've learned a lot trying to do some things myself (usually with on one help and Newmar guys over the phone) but some things I can't do for lack of tools and know how. That is changing though. Had a real shocker today at the Ford dealer. Flush radiator and new coolant, flush brake fluid and inspect, full chassis lubrication....over $900. Gator Ford in Tampa used to be RV friendly but they were recently bought out and the prices have gone through the roof. I showed them my recipe from two years ago and showed them where it was half what they were charging for the lube and brake flush. Their reply was they were in line with other service folk in the area and cheaper than Lazy Days across the street,

I've always gotten great CS from Newmar. Yes, they are very patient with you in getting your problems resolved.
