The Cypress is pretty new, thats one reason you are having a little trouble getting any response.

I know we know this, but, it bears repeating. This forum is great! There is almost always some one out there who can help, and they do!

I can attest to that!

I really just wanted to know if there were any owners and if they had any issues with their Cypress fivers. We went from back packing to VW van and last year bought the fiver. We love it and apart from a lousy dealer have no problems. We traveled as far south as Melaque in Mexico first time out and were gone for four months. This year we will gone for six months again down to Mexico. I'm very new to computers, forums etc. but am planning to write a blog about our adventures, wish I had done this years ago we've traveled to alot of countries and have wonderful photos but no diary. So jumping in now.

We also are Newmar Cypress owners - 34DBCK - and, like you, we puchased our Cypress last year. We have had only a few issues with it, but have a wonderful dealer who has taken care of everything.

In our manual it says to rotate the tires, have you done this? Everyone we have spoken to who own fivers seem to think its not necessary. We are having it done but DH marked the tires to make sure the dealer does it. We will be finding a new service place once the waranty runs out in a couple of days. Leaving for six months in six weeks.

How many miles does your manual say to rotate tires, you have a 06 model and how many miles traveled on your 5th wheel. Your dealer may charge you for rotation as its under normal maintenence not a warranty item.
If you see unusual wear on tires than I would have them rotated. Unless there is something wrong with tracking of tires, suspension or over loaded axels your tires should be OK.
The offer of Kamra still stands just say the word.

I need to know wha Kamra is
We bought our rig n Sept. last year and took off for Mexico Dec.1st. back home end of March and over to Vancouver for five weeks this summer now we're getting ready to leave for Mexico Nov.1st.for six months and have 8000 miles on it. We usually make a run for the border (USA & Mexico) and since the rig was getting it's last waranty work done thought it might be a good idea to have it done up here. Not to sure we trust having it done or where and don't want to take any chances.

We've had our Cypress since July.

Knock on wood, we have not had any issues which has kept us from going rving when we wanted to. Just a couple initial minor nits, but everything was taken care of right away.

Take care,
