NEWMAR DUTCH STAR 3852 Weight and Ride

I purchased a 2002 Newmar Dutch Star 3852 Diesel Pusher. I would like to hear the weight from everyone with a 38' Newmar that has weighed the motorhome. Front, back and/or all four corners. I am currently running 109-PSI in the front and 91-PSI in the back tires, till I can find a scale. What pressure you running, have you replaced the shocks? Did it help the ride?

Newmar 38' weights and tire pressures

I have a 38' 2000 Dutchstar on Freightliner chassis. I too started at sidewall max 110 PSI and that was a very rough ride. I installed Bilstein shocks which helped a little. My tires are 275/80R 22.5 LRG. But after weighing and lconsulting tire pressure chart, I now run 85 PSI on the fronts and 75 PSI on the duals. Day versus night on the ride. Fully loaded including a car on tow dolly, front axle was 9640 lbs and rear (duals) was 17,020.

Koni EVO shocks were the best addition we made to our 2004 Mountain Aire. Highly recommended upgrade. The ride and handling improvement is dramatic.

2002 Newmar Dutch Star 3852 Weight

I put it on a scale. Didn't weigh all four corners, but weighted the front and back axles. Checked my tire specifications. I now run 94 PSI in the fronts and 74 PSI in the backs.
